Ever been frustrated that your favorite PS2 game won't work? Don't worry. There's a simple and easy solution for how to copy ps2 games. There are three simple steps that you need in order to create as many backup games as you would like! The first is to actually copy the PS2 game, the second is to obtain a PS2 mod chip or boot disc, and the third is to actually play the copied game. As simple as it sounds, this can get tricky if you don't perform the proper steps.
Step 1: Download some type of gamecopy software. There are some free versions, but those at many times are junk and don't always copy the games correctly. Instead I recommend the Easy Backup Wizard, and you can find my review of it HERE.
Step 2: Obtain a blank disc to copy the game on to. You can use various different formats including: DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW and CD-RW formats.
Step 3: Using your software, you must first rip the game's contents on to your computer and once that is done, you must reburn them to a new disc. It may sound complicated, but it's actually quite easy.
Step 4: You must now use your mod chip or boot disc in your PS2 to play the games. The PS2 has copy-protection on the system, and it can recognize copied discs, so the two solutions are explained below:
1.) Boot Disc: You first put these discs in your PS2 before putting in the backup copy. This is the safest method, as it does not void your PS2's warranty.
2.) Mod Chip: In order to install a mod chip, this process is more detailed and involves cracking open your console and soldering wires. If the mod chip is installed incorrectly, you may need to buy a whole new system, so it's best to ask someone experienced to help.
